Anybody have any luck lately? Looking Sac a lait.

Caught bass and a flounder last Friday. Tried for sacs, not a bite. Didn't see any bream either, but the water was 58. Should be better this weekend with this warmer weather.

Is Lake Penchant considered Bayou Black area?

Bill Lake for the Dularge area.

Gibson,LA which is between Morgan City and Houma. While it pales in comparison to the prolific waterways of NELA, it does offer an angler the opportunity to catch both salt and freshwater species on the same trip.

Gibson, La. But I'd imagine "bayou Black area" is a term that applies to miles and miles that surround that area. Sort of like "Toledo Bend area."

Bayou black is very mediocre for freshwater compared to most of the state but it's an interesting area and offers something different when you saltwater fish 50-60 days out of the year around here.

I'm assuming you mean size wise?

i wouldn't say mediocre, the 20+ lb sacks caught some weeks ago would suggest otherwise, but yea it can be tough at times

Overrall i would say its mediocre. Yea there are times when you can hammer a nice sack in certain areas but that is a few days out of the year. Plus, the area is so dependent on river levels and wind direction.

Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. You're doing something wrong. I catch bass down there year round and in large quantities.

Pearl river has been more consistent to me moreso than BB area. BB does offer the occasional redfish snag while you're bass fishing and the freshwater marsh is some beautiful area, and the water is almost always clear.......But, I can count on one hand the amount of good days we've had over there.
