These two bills have increased recently.

My Internet bill (AT&T dsl) went up from $25 to $60. I believe it is because my initial two year service agreement is up. What are my options to get it back down? Could I cancel and re-start? Would calling and complaining/threatening to leave help? If I canceled at worst case I could switch to charter for $60.

I have no idea why my car insurance is going up (over 25% in the last year or two) (progressive). No tickets, no new vehicles, nothing else I can think of to change it in that time period. I'm going to get a new quote from someone else. I've been with progressive for 10 years and I'm like WTF. What other options would i have with them to bring this cost down?

I would focus on the car insurance. Prices vary wildly for the same coverage. I just had quotes done and the range was $800/year at one company and $4000/year with another.

For Internet, you can shop around but probably can't cancel and restart the same service. Try your cable/satellite provider?

Have you tried getting a quote from Geico?

I did that 3 years ago when I bought my truck and it was significantly cheaper that Progressive.....and in 3 years they haven't changed the price except for when I moved to Rayne and it went down

My att internet went up after my service agreement was up. I called them up and said i want to cancel because the price went up and they came within 5 dollars of the service agreement price

Geico. My younger brother goes to Ole Miss...they called my parents and told them how he could get his premiums down by claiming MIssissippi residency or something like that. B/c of that, my parents swear by them.

Recently switched from AT&T to Charter internet, and we locked in for two years paying $35/mo. for 15Mbps down. This is more than enough for us and our only other option we had. I would check to see if you are on a bundled plan with AT&T. I canceled DSL and they never mentioned that it was a bundled plan. When my bill arrived after the DSL cancellation they tried to charge me $50 a month for long distance service because phone and internet were bundled.
