Justing getting high with friends - you are kidding right? Do you think getting high with friends won't lead to other things? Getting drunk with friends usually does also.
You serious, I think they're a little different

Its their comments about being two different people. Cecil and tyrann were both by their own admittance living two lives.

When alter- egos get created, it becomes difficult to turn it off unless you are strong enough to control it.
I am curious to see how the "Johnny Football" saga plays out. He seems to be a decent kid but he is pushing the envelope !!'

Is this a joke?
I have several friends who got high and drunk in their first two years at LSU who are doctors and lawyers now.
I don't know any successful people who got caught multiple times in random girls bedrooms watching them sleep.
You are kidding right? Getting high or drunk doesn't mean you will or will not be successful in life. And I am not comparing getting high or drunk as equal to getting caught breaking into peoples homes.
What I stated was simple "getting high or drunk" can lead to doing stupid stuff. When you are chemically impaired that can lead to individuals not thinking rationally and not behaving rationally. I am not comparing which is worse. I clearly stated that breaking the law, is breaking the law and if you continually break the law eventually you will get caught and face the possibility of prison. The severity of your offense is what leads to the different prison sentences. But if you habitually break the law you run a high risk of getting caught doesn't matter what the offense is. Case in point Cecil and TM, they both broke the law and they both got caught. So in the end does it really matter why you lose opportunities in life, or just if you lost those opportunities in the first place.
Point being if both TM and Cecil did 13 years apiece in jail and one goes to jail for drugs and the other for B & E, reality is what does it matter how they lost that opportunity, only really matters is that they both lost it.
My point being - don't break the law and these conversations are moot.

Cecil was getting in trouble no matter what.
Cecil was a thug in high school and nothing was done about it.
I doubt the 'name' is the source of his problems.

I'll never forget Cecil The Diesel in the '97 Auburn game.
237 yards rushing against a top notch defense.
How did we lose that game?
Oh yeah, dumbass DiNardo decides to throw a pass on third and two when we have Cecil Collins and Rondell Mealey in the backfield...

Being chemically impaired is being chemically impaired, doesn't matter if you are stone drunk or stone high either way your judgement can be impaired depending on the individual. That is all I am saying, not trying to compare which is worse.

doesn't cecil have more time to serve in Louisiana when he gets out of prison in Florida? If I remember correctly he had some pending charges when he was arrested in Florida. Or does his time served in Florida cover the Louisiana issues?

Moral of the story- don't give anymore nicknames to great players at LSU.

Anytime, glad I could be the voice of reason.

the whole slippery slope fallacy.
So now we are condemning TM7 because he might end up breaking the law down the road

Um....groping chicks and breaking into homes to watch random girls "sleep". Is NOT comparable to smoking pot. Not saying smoking pot or synthetic weed is a good thing...but I know 50 pot heads who have not groped a chick or snuck in their house. This is a RIDICULOUS comparison. Cecil hurt others....intentionally. HB7 only hurt himself (and his team I suppose....)

Again, I'm not saying that. It's about the split personalities they had. One smoked weed and the other smoked hoes.

years apart but the story sounds similar
Cecil was days away from being a full on rapist. Tyrann likes to rip a bowl and zone out to playstation.
Ya gotta give it to LSU, we've gotten our money's worth when it comes to launching a superstar.

Fwiw, Tyrann couldn't have tackled Cecil in the open field during his prime.
Awesome. Nobody seems to disagree...

I think Cecil and TM7 are apples and oranges different.
Cecil was wired wrong and engaged in creepy criminal activity while TM7 just liked to get high with friends.
I fail to see the similarities.
Right
Percy Harvin smoked weed and no one was wondering if he would be the next Cecil Collins

He was on probation in Louisiana when he was arrested in Florida. I think that probation is revoked with the Florida arrest.
