Need advice on Cast Iron pots. Deer Camp related hence OB board

What is the perfect size cast iron pot for 6-10 people?
I got gift cards to amazon for christmas and bday, buying a new pot. The pots i have for home use are either to small or way to big for that amount of people. I am looking 12 to 20qt.
For example, I have a number eight lodge that I cooked a rabbit sauce piquant in a few weeks ago at the camp. The big arse swamp rabbits made it over the top.
wanting the perfect size for a gumbo, sauce piquant, or jambalaya when i have a small group of friends over.

Wen it comes to that I'd get the biggest you can work with
Not too big where you need two guys to move it but you're gonna make a lot with it

Take a look at Magnalite Classic 14 quart.

Get the biggest one you can move between storage and the heat source. Can never have too much pot.

I have both Magnalite and cast iron. the cast iron need to seasoned. Also what are you cooking on? if you using gas Cast iron works great , if you have electric stove with a glass top you shouldn't used Cast Iron at all.

Why not?
Just wondering cause we have a glass top electric and use cast iron daily, that's about all I cook with.

I've always heard that the cast iron will scratch the glass top

Ours is 6 years old now and no scratches. I hate it so would t min if it did get scratched. Wish I had went propane for my stove.

Mostly having to do with the weight of the pot and scratch the glass. I used my Magnalite pots with no problems.

I've never hear that. My range has a couple of scratches, nothing major though.

My sister (no pic) crack there using a cast iron griddle.
