With nice cotton socks on also.

Look like the hardest part to my build would be adding the thermal paste to put in the cooler master. Which thermal and cooler dont make sense to me, but whateves, just be a solid computer and idc.

I actually will be on carpet but I'm going to be careful about shock.

Just put a pea sized dot in the middle of the CPU and then secure the cooler down.

A screwdriver with interchangeable heads (tee hee) is a must.
Maybe a small flash light if the place you're putting it together doesn't have sufficient lighting.
I agree with the poster that said take one component out at a time as not to get things mixed up.
Lastly, make sure you hook the wire coming from you power button on your case into your mobo...Not saying it happened to me, but happened to a friend

The vid i saw had the guy spreading it out with a screwdriver. Said that if you do just a dot and then put it on then you notice often when you pull it off the paste did spread out all the way.

Take power supply out of box, lay cables out straight, and place something heavy on the cables. The "bends" in the cables are a PITA, this may help with cabling frustration at the end of the build. GL.
ETA: Keep the parts boxes for as long as the warranties last. I keep all of mine, in the case box.
Someone posted on here a while back about using a "laptop code" for win 7. On the bottom of laptop there should be an OEM number. Type in that OEM number for win 7 registration. I have not done this myself, so I don't know if it works first hand. But it should be fine.

Thats a terrible idea with a screwdriver.
I'll try to find the video that explains all this very well.

I donno it was a flat head he doused in rubbing alcohol to get it clean and then spread it perfectly.

If you feel you must spread it out use a plastic bag from some of the parts packaging and your finger but like Blue said it's best to put a dot in the center.

I ordered windows because I doubt my disc will work. If it does work I will just return windows.

The build is about to start. My last question is at what point do I become an official master race member? First post? First os install? Closure of the case? First game?

First successful power up to the desktop screen, imo.

So jelly. Waiting on my last part. Chase flagged it as possible fraud and set me back.
