Wow what a terrible reveal.
They showed year old trailers, okay gameplay with the exact same interaction. Nothing was ground breaking and the way you interact is still stuck in the past. The touch pad did showed you 0 ways to use it in game except for looking around.
Xbox will kill this thing, rumor mill says Xbox has something in place for new game play interaction.
What a 2.5hr fail by Sony.

Ah, yes. The games you've stolen. The ease is certainly a boom to your case.

Square showed a newer version of a year old trailer, everything else was new.

So now motion controls are good? Pretty that there's a very large amount of reasons why every company has some form of a normal controller.

Will it have two cameras and utilize the same technology that's been in use for a decade now? I've also heard a rumor that the new PS4 will blow you if you treat it right.

Step back fan boy and look at what they are offering.
Innovation is lacking, spec bump.. that is all. Xbox seen to have more forward thinking ideas.

Nah, I think MS will shite the bed this generation. Plenty of xbox fanboys on another forum I read were impressed with what they heard about the PS4. Sony seems to be pulling their head out of their arse from this past generation. They actually went to developers and asked them what they wanted instead of handing them crap and telling them to deal with it.
And since when was innovation an indicator of quality? PC still uses mouse / keyboard (which is the way I like it). Who the hell wants some new way to control their games every generation just for the sake of change?

What are you referring to?

Just different decisions throughout such as pricing early on, architecture of the system, marketing (pretty sure they hired a new team recently).

Architecture of the system?
Cell processor was a bitch to develop on. The PS4 is more like a normal PC.

This shows the triggers well.

I doubt Sony will come out with a pricing strategy that beats Xbox....they will be "market priced". Architecture? They didn't show anything or really give out any nuts and bolts on how it is built...Xbox will have the same. Marketing is definitely the weakest point of Sony PS, so any improvement will be big.
The thing both companies are going to have to show in the new platforms are what sets them apart from pc/smartphone/pad gaming...and how they can incorporate those platforms with their new console. I'd still be willing to bet that both consoles will be similar in the overall scheme of things and the nuances that they have will seperate themselves when a person goes to make a purchase.
I had PS all the way up to 2...got an Xbox when the 360 came out because of the online play and the fact that I had more friends playing it. If all things being equal, and I don't see anything that truly seperates one from the other I will probably just stick with Xbox because it is what I know and am comfortable with.

They will most likely be priced similarly. Sony isn't going to make another 599$ mistake.

Yes, they showed the general architecture which is different than what the PS3 was. No more cell processor BS. As for being the same, that's the whole point of what I said.

I have no clue why we have these arguments.
Get an Xbox if that's what you want.
Get a PS if that's what you want.
Why the big deal with no out of box backwards compatibility. Playstation 2 and Wii were the only two consoles 100% backwards compatible with the previous generation.
Besides that, rarely so I even care to play past gen games.
And who cares what the console looks like. I doubt Sony will or Microsoft will do anything with the aesthetics which actually convinces a person to buy or pass.

I'm glad someone on reddit noticed this too.
