We all know that the 2 go hand in hand. Looking back to the 60's forward, you can see that artists are drastically influenced by the drugs they use and it shows in their music.
I'd say (in no particular order)
Alcohol
Weed
Opiates/heroine
Psychedelics
Coke/amphetamines
Which drug would you say is most responsible for influencing music?

Heroin is equally responsible for the creation of great music and the destruction of great musicians.

LSD is the best to listen to music on.
Opiates, specifically heroin, is responsible for the most good music. Pretty much every one of those guys in 60-70s loved them some smack

I'd think PCP had the biggest influence on music, maybe not the best but it would definitely influence it something crazy.

Whatever The Who were on when they made Tommy. Or whatever Zepplin was on when they made the song remains the same.

Heroine.
So much amazing music has been created on it, but its a double edged sword. Gotta sell your soul to the devil to create said music.

Yes and no..
Ecstasy classification is Entactogens which is used to describe a class of psychoactive drugs.
It's basic classification is a stimulant, so yes, amphetamine.
quote:
In his book Illegal Drugs: A Complete Guide to Their History, Chemistry, Use and Abuse, Paul M. Gahlinger quoted a frequent ecstasy user who said: "E makes shirtless, disgusting men, a club with broken bathrooms, a deejay that plays crap, and vomiting into a trash can the best night of your life."

Weed has the strongest influence as a whole IMO.
But opiates are not far behind.

Alcohol and marijuana are clearly #1 and #1a

Why would you not count alcohol? If all those other substances are drugs then alcohol sure as hell is one too.
