Had a segment on free agents and franchise possibilities and the reporters along with a few former Cowboy Scouts think Spencer to the Saints. Could be Rob Ryan behind it, or it could simply be financial and the Saints need.

really think Junior Gallette could be our Spencer... could we plan on playing both of them? Don't they have similar skill sets?

That would be awesome. We need a vet at OLB IMO. Forgive my ignorance on this, but would he be our pass rush OLB or the strong side?

You need to edit your title. I thought Anthony spencer had signed with the saints per ESPN Dallas

You need to learn the difference between rumor and speculation.

Spencer is overrated. He had a stretch in '09 where he started to shine and then has been an above average player since then. The problem is that he has been playing opposite an All-pro in Ware, yet he has not been anything but above agerage. That begs the questiong if he couldn't take advantage of that situation, how productive would he be if he were paired with unknowns and projects? This is the problem here. If he comes at a reasonable price, then I am ok with the signing; however, if he is being sought as the answer at OLB, then a mistake is being made.
