Getting better, worse in your opinion? Not local,so I gotta ask.In the Seventies the place rocked.

Improving as the team does likewise.......

This year it's slowly (and I mean VERY slowly) getting better. There were probably 7K in the PMAC yesterday. Been averaging about 5K I'd guess (that might be a bit high), but it's up from where it has been.

Getting better. Yesterdays game had close to 10,000 fans in attendance. Having Saturday games will help the attendance.

Nah, that was the paid number, actual was probably about 2K lower

Bro, I thought folks from Springhill had better since than root for the Shorthorns....... LOL!

They sold 10,000 tickets. I'd say about 7,000 were there. It's getting better. But people that say it was a great crowd forgot what great crowds look like.

First thing that comes to mind is 2002 Arizona... Now that was a fantastic crowd

Xavier and Vandy in 09 were the two biggest crowds since the Shaq days. Actual attendance was over 13,000. UCONN in 07 was up there too - over 12,000.

Xavier 09 was legit, that was a fun game to be at. Don't remember Vandy from that year. Was the 07 UCONN game the Gameday one? That was a fun day

Kentucky 1980 - the crowd was brutal, like at a good Tiger Football night game!

I wasn't born then . I love LSU hoops but man did I grow up in a barren time. My dad and grandfather tell me stories about the good ole days though

Student section still blows a big one.

I don't disagree at all, for now.......

I don't either, and I'm a student, I just hate sitting over there because the sight lines behind the basket suck a huge dick

Stop whining. A ton of schools have their student section behind the goal. Lsu students were just spoiled for so many years having pretty much an entire side dedicated for students.

I don't know what the numbers look like, but I've been less than impressed with the enthusiasm of the crowd (as observed from TV since I can't make it to the games). For example, during the Miss St game yesterday, JOB made an amazing pass to a back-cutting player (Carmouche I think) who immediately went up for a jam. The game was fairly close at that point and this play should have warranted a huge eruption from the crowd. However, on TV it appeared to get little more than a "golf clap." I'd love to see the entire PMAC erupt following plays like this.

I don't care if you call it whining, I did sit over there for 3 years, but if I'm going to be watching a game that I thoroughly enjoy and have the opportunity to watch the game in a better seat, then you bet your arse I will.
Fwiw, most of those behind the basket sections are generally elevated where you don't have the goal post in the way, it's not always the case but most are like that.
