I know it's probably been asked but how the hell did that guy get into the guard tower?

I'm guessing during the scene where Glen is freaking out and asking who is standing watch.
Also, I think the driver was the "olympic archer" chick
Solid episode though. Doesn't sound like Rick is going to get it together anytime soon.
I cheered out loud when Deryl's arrow hit that walker that was on Rick at the end.
So with one gate gone and the group knowing the back of the prison isn't secure either, its pretty much looking like they will have to hit the road again.

Some random thoughts:
- I thought the episode was going pretty slow up to the end there when the awesomeness started. (and I'm not one who disliked last week's episode).
- The shot on Axel actually startled me. Something that doesn't happen very often with any tv/movies, etc.
- The Glenn and Maggie thing doesn't bug me as much as some others. Primarily I think it's because it hasn't dragged on endlessly (yet) and I don't mind them throwing in a little melodrama here and there.
- The Governor is a piss poor tactician. He had the element of surprise, had a man in tower, had a truck of walkers at his disposal, had both Rick and Glenn away and each mentally or emotionally troubled (to wildly different extents of course) and had half the prison group just standing out in the open. And still, by my count, he lost at least two of his people and only took out Axel. I think he needs to brush up on his Richard Winters. I know the argument that he just wanted to create terror but still I think he did lousy job. And his goon squad is starting to take some pretty heavy attrition here lately.

Nah Hallie the archer chick during the 2nd woodbury raid.
The ending scene was supposed to powerful, after all they've lost (T Dog Lori Axel Oscar Ricks sanity Hershels leg) they are right back where they started from (the main field full of walkers)
Also I am beginning to think the tone of the episode dragging then the wham moment was intentional.

To tylercsbn9, we get it, you read the comics. On several occasions in this "no spoilers" thread you have made comments about things only a reader would know. This thread is supposed to be free of all of that.
B) You need to stop being a spoiler pussy.

I dont think he wanted to eliminate all of them right then. He released the walkers to show them that he is dangerous. Like you said, if he wanted to kill all of them he could have, but he didnt want to do that.

Tne Governor is not a brilliant tactician that is the whole point. He is a deranged psycho masquerading as a benevolent dictator. He creates this image of terror when Kirkman says likely pre Apocalypse the TV Governor was a wimpy middle manager type.

Just saw a preview ON AMC SO NOT A SPOILER. For that spoiler pussy earlier. It had Rick and the governor in the same room Maggie had the gov be a little rapey in.
And Rick says so we finally meet.
Governor says we have alot to talk about.

He also could've done that to see from afar what kind of skill level he was dealing with as far as his opponent is concerned.
Michonne going on a biter spree reminds me of DDL in LotM when he's cutting folks down left and right with the grace of a Zen boyscout killing machine.

I think next week will be mostly Merle Daryl talk. Like oh you need to get rid of him. He's my brother blah blah blah. Then last 5 mins shite gets real then talking dead #byebyemerle or something like that

I remember seeing on a preview for next week a car pulling up to the gates of Woodbury and the guards on the wall saying "thats far enough"
Maybe Rick tries to be diplomatic with the Governor?

I could see after Carl tells Rick he needs to stop, Rick comes back from crazy town an tries to be diplomatic, feeling he needs to be a good parent for His son.

Also loved how Rick and Herschel basically took cover by laying down in some almost wide-open grass.
I want to know where I can get some bullet-proof filing cabinets.

I love Maggie's gun jumping around but just accurate enough to hit a sniper in the head...
Also...Sniper Guy...you aren't really snipering folks if you're just standing out in the open 30 ft in the air. Get some cover..com' on, man

My previous post says that he did not necessarily spoil anything but he did talk about a characters involvement in the show vs. the comics.

My previous post also says that things like this have gotten out of hand in past. Was this instance a big deal, or a spoiler, NO. All I was doing, was asking the guy to try to keep that out of this thread to prevent anything larger from being spoiled in the future.

Was OK episode. I'm already tired of the crazy rick story, that needs to go. The big gun fight was horrible! First off you have these guys that were trained by rick and Shane to shoot guns, that couldn't hit the side of a barn at first. So then they became expert marksman, able to hit zombies between the eyes on the run and out moving cars, etc, etc. That's all fine and good but then this gunfight breaks out and they all have automatic weapons and cant hit anything. Same goes for the sniper in the watch tower. Standing up there in the wide open and finally gets hit in head by maggie that looked like she was shooting with one hand. It was pretty brutal to watch.
