I can't think of one move Demps has made that was obvious other than drafting Davis and Rivers. Hopefully he'll surprise us with another Ryno and Lopez type of move.

I'd like Granger on the team, but he's really going to start declining right when our young team starts putting it all together ~2 years from now. With such a bad crop of SGs in the NBA right now, I think our best chance at being a finals contender is crossing our fingers and hoping EG pans out. He went, what, a year and a half hardly playing any basketball before these last 20 games. The not playing back to backs is a smart precaution in a rebuilding season, and this hand thing isn't a big deal, it just gives him a good stretch to rest. When you're out of basketball that long, it's going to take him some time to get into peak condition and shake off the rust.
EG for Granger will leave us desperate for a go to scorer unless we can sign KMart or Mayo next offseason, but they're going to have a bunch of teams going after them, teams that have a better shot at going deep in the playoffs and teams in more attractive markets. And unless EG goes to absolute shite this season, I think a Gordon/Granger swap will be on the table next offseason, so we can see what happens in the draft and see if we can get a replacement for Gordon that Dell/Monty likes before we deal him.

I agree with this. We need a go to scorer, and while we all believe AD will become that in a few years, he's still going to need help.
I'm not neccessarily opposed to moving Gordon, but if we do, then we better be bringing in someone that can fill his role.

I've never really been anti-Gordon like many people are, but seriously, I cannot deal with all the constant trade speculation, rumors, mysterious injuries, butt-hurt quotes from interviews, etc. He's a pretty good/above average player, but it's just not worth it. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Did you read the thread?
A lot of people feel this way.

Remember Granger contract expires after next yr. So the hornets can pull the pacers trade, and if granger struggles flip him to a team that wants an expiring contract.
