I'm about to make the move out to Dallas/Fort Worth for that reason.

I am hesitant to move out of state with no support system consisting of friends and family and lock into a long-term lease with a shaky economy. First hired are first fired. I do not want to be stuck with a lease when I have no job to pay for it.
