The State of the Tigers Address - DAMN STRONG

The State of the Tigers is STRONG - DAMN STRONG.
While there is a constant perception among many that the CLM-led Tigers, at any moment, is about to cascade to tragedy, the state of the Tigers remains DAMN STRONG.
To many, there exists this ever-present tension and anxiety level that things are falling apart for the LSU football program - it is as if many feel that the stability of the football program under Les is always on the verge of catastrophe, much like a small marble atop a large glass ball about to go unstable, and that CLM's team will go falling off the top of the glass ball and plummet into "also ran" land.
Meanwhile, despite a lot of head-scratching (and grass eating), that just does not happen.
The 2008 season happened, and many thought "that is it, its all falling apart, just like I predicted", only to have to witness the 13-0 pre-1/9 record as contrary evidence.
Then 1/9 happened, and 1/31 happened, and once again the alert level once again brought many to say "this is it, things are about to unravel".
Sure, the poor offense and the occasional porous pass defense, have combined to create "moments of concern" since the 2007 season. No doubt about it.
Yet, now CLM once again shows his ability to recruit the best QB class in the nation, a top-10 Oline class in the nation, and lure an OC with Pro experience - and hope is restored once again.
Sure, the frustration level is high for many, as that is what happens when die-hard fans, who follow their team 365 days a year, do just that - micro-manage the HC's every move, convince themselves that LSU always has top-3 or so talent, and then expect to win the SEC every year.
But, after 8 years, and despite such expectations, the marble still has not fallen to the land of the lost...
I'll admit, I've thrown my hat down in frustration many times over CLM moves, so I am not immune to the frustration.
I'll also admit, that some times it is hard to believe that things are not heading south.
Yet, each February, when i look at the body of work, and the state of the Tigers, I see valid reasons to believe that CLM is a DAMN STRONG HC.
The State of the Tigers is DAMN STRONG, my fellow Tigers - DAMN STRONG.
Just so you know....

they have been DAMN STRONG for years. They will always be strong, but will probably never see another NC under Miles. the last two years we should have been playing for the NC but Lester took care of that.
Go ahead and call me what you will, I DON"T GIVE A F**K!

You know you're an elite program when people view a three loss season as a catastrophic failure...
Posted on 2/12/13 at 1:03 pm to JakeFromStateFarm
not saying we failed. just Les being Les.screwing up when it counts.

One thing we shouldn't call you is tgr4evr.

But Miles is a Tiger, so I'm confused.

Miles is a tiger. and seems like a great guy, . I think he is a good coach but not great. I don't like some of his decisions.

so do you pull for the tigers to win and Miles to fail?

has LSU had a coach that you liked all of his decisions?
Posted on 2/12/13 at 1:15 pm to Choctaw
Hell no! I will always pull for the Tigers and Miles.I just think sometimes he has a brain fart or something on the field . I think he definately has made Saban look better than he is the last two years.

I think tgr4evr is just misunderstood. He just wishes Miles were living up to his expectations.
Posted on 2/12/13 at 1:18 pm to GEAUXmedic
I guess a person can't express them self about miles without people thinking something is wrong with them.
