I brought Dead Space 3 back yesterday for Halo 4 for this reason.

If I can't play campaign's with my son, I lose interest.

What is the reason for more games not using this feature?

Because the systems arent powerful enough to do it.

I wish they''d design the games o that you could full install the game on multiple systems and play co op over your local network.

I HATE split screen.

I understand where you're coming from. My best friend back in the day and I had some great times doing co-op on Halo 2 and 3 and Battlefront 2. Something about working together even if you only have half a screen is fun. I think it's great you want to share that with your son.

I wish it wasn't going the way of the dodo.

I still have the occasional opportunity to play split screen, but fewer games support it.

I've had some fun with split screen Blops2 zombies and Borderlands 2 in recent months.

Gears of War 3 has split screen. The wife and I played through the story mode and we now play horde mode on split screen. It's actually pretty cool.
