Between this year and next year, we are 200% reloaded.

1) Adoree Jackson - 5-star on Rivals
2) Tony Brown - 5-star on Rivals
3) Ed Paris - #10 player overall on 247
4) Hootie Jones - #22 player overall on 247
Right now 3 out of 4. Jackson said LSU is his dream school. TB's sister just committed to LSU and he said that will be a big plus when looking to go to a school. Ed Paris loves LSU and is from LA. I know Hootie likes Bama and Ohio State, but Diarse may be able to reel him in.
Then I think of the other studs, just in LA, that I think we get. Willis, Fournette, Robinson, etc. This will be another 2009 class with the studs at the top.

Apparently his parents work in Louisiana. He lives in SW Mississippi and is closer to Baton Rouge than any of the major MISS schools.
I was about to this. Woodville is only about 50 miles north of Baton Rouge. It's closer to Baton Rouge than New Orleans is to Baton Rouge.

Brown - Just got his sister to run track here and have so many other factors working for us that I don't see him going anywhere else.
Paris - Committing in a little over a month and has pretty much been all LSU for some time now. Getting Simmons would be a nice touch also.
Adoree - Unless he gets the itch to stay home, I can't see us not getting him. Calls us his dream school, said it was his dream offer and it's basically us against the dumpster fire USC right now.
Hootie - I think a lot of credit should be given to Adam Henry. Henry came on this staff and made John Diarse a priority. I don't think Diarse lets his current teammate leave the state, and he loves his momma too

His brother lives in Watson. The guest room where Voohries stays is painted purple and gold. They are Tigers through and through, for the record, longtime fans...

I've been huntin in woodville for the last 12 years. It's about an hour from Baton Rouge give or take. 61 straight all the way to the bridge. Really fast and easy ride. Ill try to make one of his games during hunting season this year

He's just a tremendously fluid athlete. And like most people in that part of the state, he's ALL LSU. He is that under the radar guy (not really) that becomes ALL-SEC performer, imho.

Memphs, tebow, duckie, red and the rest of yall have to bring me up to speed over the next year on recruiting.
I always pay attention with about a month left, but this year got me hooked. I love this class and can't wait for the next year

If we get the top guys in 2014, I will be doing this.

I think Brandon Simmons would be a sick nickel back also. Combining Tre' White and Rashard Robinson with the '14 DB class is...Ridiculous.

Perhaps. But I honestly think that Darrion Johnson is the next best DB prospect that LSU is in on (outside of the four 5-stars I listed in my OP).

I think Adorree is a pipe dream. Yeah, he's saying everything now about dream school blah blah, but I'm always 95% reluctant with kids that far away.
Yes, I understand that Rettig is from Cali, but before him, what other top prospect came from California and it stuck?
Anyone have any links other than the generic "LSU is my dream school" recruitnik talk that kids do every year? Are there any personal connections in Louisiana? Any family?
What's the story on him?

You guys might be right about Jackson (and his reported "love" for LSU). After all, I saw an interview with Jabrill Peppers (from back in the Summer) where he said the exact same thing: "LSU is my dream offer"; "LSU is the team I most want to play for". But here we are 6 months later, and it seems like we are not even under consideration anymore.

How bad would losing Henry have on those guys recruiting?
Posted on 2/7/13 at 7:39 am to lsugradman
I don't think it would be much of an affect on either. But I'm not even sure if we are still recruiting peppers.
