This Year's Bash

Has anyone received word or "heard" if the BRPD will be raining on our parade this year with a check point outside the bash again?

That really happened last year? LOL what a bunch of losers, picking on the least likely to be criminals.
Jk, drinking and driving is a crime, too.

Just don't drink and drive. Call in a ride or have a DD.

Leave the bash and go to a bar. Wait for the checkpoint to end. Then go home.
Posted on 2/5/13 at 1:06 pm to riverrattiger17
It's going to be a race as to who's going to drink and drive the fastest. First one home wins!!!!!!

Boohoo. Get over it.

There is nothing to get over brah....I just asked a very simple question if anyone has heard anything about a check point tomorrow. I didn't ask for a lecture on how drinking and driving is illegal or how it is bad....I obviously know that. Just a simple question.

Are you going to now end all of your posts with "How's that sound?"
And it's none of your business if there is a checkpoint or not...if you are afraid of it, leave the Bash early...or late. Or go a different direction.
Drinking and driving is illegal and bad, by the way...

Didn't know a simple reply post is now considered a lecture.
This thread didn't go exactly how you planned, did it?

The checkpoint last year really has put a damper on ticket sales this year for the bash.
Wednesday, 430pm, a checkpoint. Blatently targeting the event doesn't seem right.
No doubt they were out for blood. Seatbelt infractions, inspection stickers, etc...not to mention the 45 dui arrests, some registered 0.06 but it was up to the officers judgement.

Yes they will. A large group of people who have been drinking all day and will actually show up to court plus pay all fines , BRPD will be like moths to a flame once again. We need to move the Bash to A G Clark Activity Center.

No...it pretty much went exactly how I thought. I figured there would be a couple self-rightous arse whipes, like yourself, that would chime in with absolutely no insight to the orginal question i posed. And yes, i did resort to name calling.
How's that sound?
and yes, there is a good possibility i may end every post with "How's that sound?"

Don't drink and drive and you won't have to worry about it.....

Great...another self-righteous arse wipe who can't read the orginal question. If I wanted to be told to not drink and drive i would have attended a M.A.D.D meeting (I have no beef with M.A.D.D). I feel like I am talking to a bunch of R-tards.
and yes....

I would almost bet for sure that there will be another checkpoint. And I understand about the DD and to drink and drive, but between the Bash, Bayou Country Superfest, Taste of Tailgating.....the BRPD has garnered a poor reputation for setting up these checkpoints.
And the folks who hold these events in Baton Rouge will take notice. Now I know some of you will say who cares, take the drunks off the streets etc. but as a previous poster pointed out some people were not even over the legal limit.
I live in NOLA and do not have a DD so I am staying home. I am actually glad the ticket sales are down because people need to take notice of the BRPD's "business" practices. This has nothing to do with getting drunk drivers off the street.

They should have to post it in the news if they are going to set it up again. I went last year but left before the checks were set up. I heard about them and how chicken shite they were, which is exactly why i'm not going this year. I'm sure they will be watching it close. A bunch of middle class folks that can pay fines if ticketed. They will be all over that.

Or maybe you didn't expect that someone who's life has been affected by drunk driving would "chime in".
I don't have to fricking answer your question if I don't want to.

once again...for the 4th time...who the hell said ANYTHING about drunk driving except yourself? If you don't want to "answer my fricking question" don't bother posting on it. You are making this entirely too difficult by changing the premise of my orginal post into a crusade against drunk driving. I in no way shape or form advacated drunk driving, I only asked if anyone knew if there was a DWI check point scheduled this year. My god chill out.

Dude.... the sooner you realize this board is absolutely full of self righteous, know it all fricking pricks, the better off you'll be.
