I'm quite sure CLM takes care of his assistants...and it isn't like the assistants are not well compensated

deserved and worth it
It's the same incentive we gave Saban when he got here. Win the NC and become the highest paid coach in CFB. CLM's first contract didn't have that it said he gets paid 3.75M if he wins the NC. Then he did. CLM's second written contract has the right incentive. Win it all = get paid.

Not sure about this, BUT I like the FACT that LSU will have a coach for the long haul. Helps recruiting for years to come. Does he have a problem utilizing the talent he has???? YES. But With him at the helm. LSU will be on the verge of a 10 win season every year,PROBLEM is .... IS that good enough for the LSU fanbase????

Stud should get a raise as well.

no.....13-win season wasn't good enough for the LSU fanbase and reality is 14-0 wouldn't be enough for certain parts of the LSU fanbase unless we blow every team out by 30+.

Its worth it cus its a minuscule amount of the profit the football program makes. Which helps all other athletic programs, and guess what? Helps LSU the institution. The guy is def worth it. Your just jealous or naive to think hes not.

LSU is second only to Boise St for wins since 2005 and Boise doesn't play in the SEC.
Damn right we pay the man, clown.

by bringing in one of the best recruiting classes LSU has seen in the past 20 years? by making the rounds on ESPN, CBS, etc. to support the state and LSU? By flying to see every single commitment we have for 2013 the week before signing day?
Right.....the work CLM has put in lately definitely screams 4-losses next year.
Posts like this are useless to the rant. It does nothing to support the LSU program and does everything to hurt it in a public forum. Sarcasm =/= humor

See here we have one of these exaggeration guys that like to show up. Of course 13 win season isn't enough when you fail to show up for biggest game of the season. And we did blow people out by 30, and guess what that got us? A 21-0 shutout in the championship game.
So tell us, which one of the above should we be happy with?

You can pay a guy for wins or you can pay a guy for championships. There are many coaches that could win with Louisiana's talent, there's only a few guys that can win a championship with Les than 2 losses.

This shows your fricking ignorance. You assume the talent just flows to LSU regardless of the coach.
Guess that explains all of our titles before 2003.

Unless you think 25 freshmen coming in is going to perform at a level of the #2 defense in the country that we had in 2011 and out-do the defense we had on the field that lost 3 games last season, I really don't think you have an argument against me.
All this BS about hurting LSU in a public forum, I mean what is this, Dr. Phil? I thought we were here to discuss football.

Lucky for LSU/Miles/reasonable fans LSU has a HC with both wins and championships.
2 SEC championships, 3 west championships, 2 BCSCG appearances, and 1 BCS championship.
The Miles results in his career at LSU rank in the Top 5 results in the nation.
Anyone not pleased with those overall results is college/SEC football mentally challenged. imo
