I think you are splitting hairs. Tyrann Mathieu was not close to the best pure CB at LSU during his 2 years, suffice to say we will never see a player like him ever again.

We aren't offering anyone else unless a big-fish wants to jump last minute.
Having said that, we will ride with an undersized class so we can open up EE spots for next year's class and oversign there.
I personally agree with the staff in that respect, because 2014 in-state is STACKED with bigtime difference makers at the collegiate level.
Guys like Willis, Robinson, Sims, Brumfield, Hootie, Dupre, Noil, Quinn and Fournette are just off the top of my head...

That's why I used "actually", and "just saying" in my response.
His response was that I don't watch the games, and he re-affirmed his position, with no concession to the facts.
As you and I would agree, he was an underrated corner. It's hard to be underrated and the third best corner on your team, yet be the best that LSU has ever seen.
Don't you think?
I thought it was worth mentioning that most of his accolades came from positions outside of cornerback, but judging from the sample of replies, I should have just moved on to the next thread.
