In search of new snacks/meal replacements

Not much time during the work week. Typically only eat one real meal a day at lunch or dinner. I bring a special k protein bar with me for the other meal.
Any recommendations for something new?

I keep almonds and peanuts on my credenza...a handful every so often helps. Shockingly, I also have a few cans of sardines in the office, too.

When I lost weight a while back, I did the whole 5-6 "meals" a day thing and it wasn't too time consuming. Cook a bunch of meal typs stuff on the weekends so it'll last you most of the week. Portion everything out into bags or tupperware that same night, so all you have to do is grab it in the morning and roll. For your in between meals, bring things like apples, bananas, a bag of carrots; shite you can eat relatively quick that doesn't take much prep work.

Fruit just doesn't stick with me. I love apples and oranges, but an hour later I'm hungrier than I was before.

Eat every few hours. Your body will adjust.

I recently tired some of the Dannon Light and Fit Greek yogurt. Stuff is really good and has a good bit of protein.

Then eat more Also as others have said nuts. Almonds, pecans, or cashews are simple and they will fill you up.
Just remember if you aren't eating as often as you should be when you DO eat make sure it's quality over quantity. Fuel the ole brain box as much as you can especially if you only stopping long enough to snack.

Absolutely the way to roll.. Get your carbs from fruit.. keep a couple apples, bananas, oranges on hand. Stay away from manufactured/processed products and drink plenty of water.
Mixed vegetables like broccoli, caulifour, carrots will keep for several hours in a cooler tote. Almonds, cashews, peanuts without salt. Also boiled eggs are a good protein source. Boil and peel em ahead of time and keep em cool in a lunch tote with a frozen gel pack inside.
eta: you can't get fat from overeating apples

Almond butter and a banana. Pretty tasty.
Greek yogurt with almonds and berries.
Hard boiled eggs & a few slices of cheese
Slim Jims (not so healthy, I guess)

wake up early enough to eat a big, healthy breakfast. it will do wonders for you throughout the day.
also, drink tons and tons of water.
as far as snacks go.. can't really help you there. I'm not a big snacker. when I do it's almost always the same thing. a banana.

I always bring a box of oreos with me to work and that usually keeps me full during the day

kale
So I bought some nacho cheese kale chips from Rouses the other day. I LOVED them. And then I read the carb count. I chose the one variety that had 28 carbs per serving! And that's a ridiculous price to pay, but I did it anyway.
I have purchased kale three times with the intention of making kale chips. I have changed my mind three times.

Clif Bars. Much more substantial than a special k or a lot of other meal replacement/snack bar type thing. Try white chocolate macadamia or chocolate chip. Wal-Marks, Target, and most grocery stores have them.

I use to love cliff bars, but I got burnt out on them. Haven't had one in a year or so. Ill try them out again.
