The only time bs science took me out of a movie was GI jo. Channing tatum tries to fight a hologram. To make it worse, everyone holds him back. Ice sinks.

good lord. btw, Armageddon is a fun flick to watch if it's on, nothing more. I always look past inconsistencies, why bother myself with drivel that doesn't matter, it's all fiction in the end anyways.
besides Armageddon happened in another dimensions that that had been altered by Quinn and crew when they tried to stop the evil empire from corrupting the populace, which in turn caused the earth to move slower, therefore lengthening the days and caused a rift that allowed for explosions in space and faster than light travel.
