You might be in for a letdown, next year. Schedule is one of the toughest, and we lost alot of our leadership. Some don't fully appreciate what we lost in Minter...
Could not agree with your comments any more. I think if we go 9-3 we might have slightly out performed and 10-2 and above we over achieved. The schedule along with losing all that senior leadership and experience just doesn't bode well in the SEC. Any other conference and I am not worried, but the SEC they are the 900lbs gorilla's "us included."

I don't look at who we lose. We have been recruiting very well the recently and the young guys got a lot of time. OL will be better. QB play will be better. WR came through towards the end of the season so I believe they will be better. Still have outstanding backs. J mills will be great. We have a stud LB class who will be ready to play. And Chavis is still our DC.

Your reading comprehension sucks. I said if the OC rumors are true then LSU would have a huge year. If not and everything stays the same 9-3.

No your wrong my reading and comprehension doesn't suck, I know exactly what you are trying to say and imply. I just completely disagree. I don't give a sh*t if Miles hires an new OC or not, that man is not going to stop controlling the offense. I have no faith in Miles letting a new OC do what he is hired to do and that is run the offense without him having his grubby little paws elbow deep in the offense. That along with the experience we are losing on defense along with the senior leadership that goes with it, I personally feel a huge year by LSU next year is wishful thinking. Don't get me wrong I hope like hell they do, I love them. But I don't drink the kool-aid I try to put things in perspective. There has never been a school in college football history that have lost 10 juniors to the NFL draft. No matter what anyone says that can not be a positive for the team. You can try and spin it anyway you want, but even Miles "the ultimate posi-tiger" stated that it is hard to replace that experience.
So I don't care who Miles hires "if he hires a new OC" it will not change other factors that will hurt the Tigers next year IMO.
I also feel 9-3 is not something we should be happy with anymore. I feel SEC and National titles are what we should be playing for year in year out, now that Miles is the 4th highest paid college coach in the country. With that kind of pay, expectations need to be raised.

Well yes we're losing 10 to the draft but how many we're difference makers? Reid didn't have a great year but is a loss because of leadership, Minter all around loss and the one that will hurt the most, Mingo and Montgomery are tough losses and are some of my favorite tigers but the name is bigger than the player with both of them, brad wing bad influence and the backup is just as good, ware and ford easily replaced, Logan won't hurt because of depth at the position, Chris Faulk played without him this year didn't we?, and tharold Simon- who was barely average IMO, only gets attention for his measurables and was also one of those bad influences. We have chief, very experieced backups at all those positions besides maybe DE and are only losing 1 true starter on offense. We are also getting back Tahj Jones and Alfred Blue

There's a very good chance you'll see this ... at NC State.

I think Mett will be much improved, but we do have to see how we do replacing PJ and Josh on the OL and losing Faulk to the draft was dissapointing. Blue and Hill together are going to make a great combo with speed and power. I think from the O standpoint it will be how fast the line gels that determines success.
Defense will be a huge question mark. Lot of talent, but very young and raw. It comes down to how quick the staff can get these kids coached up before the SEC games hit. I'm optomistic, but schedule and youth make this a very challenging season.

I can see LSU having the same record as this last season.
Which isn't that bad considering our brutal schedule and loss of tons of players.

You are not alone. That glass there, it's half full.

From a positive standpoint:
Kwon Alexander
Micah Eugene
Jalen Mills
Jalen Collins
Deion Jones
Jeremy Hill
Trai Turner
Vandal Alexander
and Mett (not a Fr, but 1st time starter for LSU)
All got starting or significant experience and should be better.

Look I am not saying that the we do not have talent behind those juniors that are leaving, we do. We also have a great recruiting class that we are signing this year with some freshman that will get playing time. But if you think for one freaking minute that losing all that senior leadership is not going to hurt, our opinions differ dramatically. Again I don't wish ill on the Tigers and I am not saying the sky is falling, I am just trying to put things in perspective. Inexperience is not preferred over experience which also comes with leadership. Also yes we did play all year long without Faulk and Hurst "for the most part" and look at what happened to our O-line in the chicken bowl they got DESTROYED. So it hurt plain and simple. Did they have games where they played well, yep. Did they have games where they played like sh*t yep. So don't think for one minute that Faulk didn't hurt because even Miles said it did.
Jakeyura only time will tell, I sure hope it doesn't hurt but with how tough our schedule is and how young our squad is, I just don't think that is going to be a great combination.

I want to be optimistic but way too many question marks on the team and a very difficult schedule. I think we'll lose at least 3 games.

Yes, yes your are.
We won't ever be great until the coaching problems are fixed.
