There are three players the Hornets should consider

In the upcoming draft. Shabazz isn't going to be around for our pick, and is going to bust hard anyway, so we might as well figure out realistic guys for our mid-lottery pick.
1. Ben McLemore- Maybe the best player in the draft, definitely the best guard in the draft. People are comparing him to Ray Allen, but I'm not sure I see that. Would be the the seventh man on this team the second he walks on the court. Would deal with the biggest off-season need (back up guard). Not sure if he could really get quality minutes at PG but shite, the front office drafted Rivers as a PG (lol) so they might as well give it a whirl with a guard who isn't terrible in McLemore.
2. Michael-Carter Williams - I've watch 2 or 3 Syracuse games this year and this guy strikes me as a Vasquez with legit athletic ability. 6'6", could play both guard spots, decent 3 point shot, good off the dribble, passes fairly well. Maybe would be a bit of project (he looked pretty sloppy in the games I watched), but like McLemore, is probably talented enough to be getting big time minutes the second he shows up to practice.
3. Otto Porter - Everyone knows SF is arguably the biggest need. Well, unfortunately, this years SF class is terrible. Poythress is just not very good. McDermott is far, far too white. McAdoo is garbage. Porter is the best SF available. I haven't watch Georgetown yet this year but I plan to soon, but from reading and watching some scout videos on him, I see a lot of Iguodala with him. Solid but nothing special on offense, but seems to play very good D and passes very well for being 6'8". Also I see us ending up with something around 6-10 for our pick, which is about exactly where Porter might fall.

This seems to be the "cool" thing to say. Shabus is the best pure scorer in this draft.
BEEP BEEP MOTHERfrickERS.

Do we really want a SF with below average D, who can't pass or rebound, with a mediocre jump shot?
The dude is just out athlete-ing people right now. That won't happen in the NBA.
He'll be for sure gone for our pick anyway, so it doesn't matter. Might as well focus on guys we have a shot at.

You are truly the worst poster on this board.

Saying Shabazz is going to "bust hard" is idiotic and ruins the rest of your solid post.

Three posts and you come off dumber in each one. Typical JayJay.

I have really do have serious doubts about the guy.
Maybe I should watch UCLA play one of these days and see if I can find out why.

I love McLemore. If we didn't already have SG locked up for the near future, I definitely be thrilled if he dropped to us.
To say that someone will or won't drop to us is dumb at this point. No one is standing out. At all. McLemore has gotten some #1 overall talk. Shabazz had been up and down. There's no telling what will happen.

our mid-lottery pick.
Barring injury I think we're much more likely to have a high lottery pick.

we need a spot up shooter. we have enough guards that can drive.

I haven't watched much College ball this year, but at this point I'd give anything for a SF that could hit an open jump shot while giving us some decent defense. I'm tired of these guys that are just bigger/more athletic than their peers in college, and can't put the ball in the hoop to save their lives in the NBA (Juju, Pondexter, Aminu, Henry).
