Until the Falcons can get a formidable defense to compliment the offense, I will have to agree with you. What Payton and Brees are able to do together as a tandem is impressive.

You could clearly see the sort of impact Payton had on the Saints offense. They still had their moments of greatness this year, but they weren't near as good without Payton.

Falcons need a pass rush and a running game. They get that and they will be a very though team to beat. Their secondary is sick, need to resign Moore though. They have above average backers. Their running game is why they blew those leads in the playoffs IMO. You pass to score and run to win. Plain and simple they couldn't get it done.
