This the place off Pinhook with 830 things on the menu. If so its solid.
Only place I know to get gumbo, fried rice and chicken tenders to go.
Still a fan of the Rabbit and scenery at T-Coons.

If Breaux's Mart on Moss on the Northside is still doing lunches go Friday and get their Shrimp and Tasso Stew. You'll thank me later. The smothered Boston Butt steaks rocked also.

I've got to vote for T-Coon's. Just tore up some of their smothered rabbit today
They serve that everyday?

It's good but high as giraffe pussy, a lunch, dessert, and root beer was $17 if I remember correctly.
Damn might as well eat at Ruth Chris for lunch.

Early's in Scott. $5.00 to $5.50 regularly, seafood to $6.75, too much to eat no matter what you choose. Their smothered rabbit is better than T Coon's, no scenery there though, T Coon's has them beat on that one !

Yeah, Earl's on Verot my not be the best but it's less than $5 after tax and more food than one person should eat for a single meal.

I think it's just on the Monday plate lunch menu.

I have never been drawn to T-Coon's for lunch. I do enjoy the scenery, that's why I frequent in the mornings for breakfast and that heavenly black drink.

There's a place on Bendel called Kajun Korner that has a large seafood platter with shrimp fried rice instead on fries for about $9.50, best deal in town.
Rents live in BG and swear by this place. I'm going to have to give it a whirl here soon.

yellowfin, i dont go on the site to prop us up, but i would like to comment on your post. It sounds like you got a 2 rib plate lunch which is (2) 1/3-1/2 lb of boneless smoked ribs that we hand cut, and smoked for 6 hours, choice of boudin link or jambalaya, and two sides (one rib plate lunch is 8.95 and wo rib plate lunch is 11.95). The root beer is our most expensive drink as well. Our regular plate lunches run from 6.95-8.95, and you can get a canned drink for .99 cents. If we could charge less we would, but the attention to the detail, especially that we hand cut boston but cuts only, the amount of time we smoked our meats call for those prices. We do appreciate your feedback and when at all possible keep our prices as low as we can. Thanks for coming to our place and I look forward to meeting you.

I went for the gumbo last Thursday at lunch. Everyone was eating in their cars while I was all alone on the patio. It was chilli, but it was perfect for gumbo!
Great gumbo, by the way.
