I've got to vote for T-Coon's. Just tore up some of their smothered rabbit today. Delicious. Who ya got?

Laura's. Just make sure someone is there to roll you home.

Good fried catfish at Breaux's, FYI.

Fried catfish not so good at Champagne's in the Oil Center.

There's a short film called, "Raised on Rice and Gravy," which features several local plate lunch places. Every time I watch it I want to go to Creole Lunch House. Still haven't made it there.

No love for Champagne's in the Saints Streets area? Co-workers love it, but I've only ever gone to the one in the Oil Center.

Where's Landry's?

I made it to Creole Lunch House one day last summer based on a rec by someone on here.

It's a quaint little yellowish house. Small. Nothing fancy on the inside. Just a friendly little mom and pop place with a limited menu.

I had the red beans and rice. Don't remember what else was on the menu. It is worth a try. Nice folks running it.

Antlers quite literally gives you a mound of food. I could have eaten the pork stew and rice and gravy over 2-3 meals.

Landry's: go north on Ambassador all the way to Cameron Street. Right on Cameron, then it's one block on the right.

Count loves this place. He raves on it as if he's a silent partner or something. I ate there once and was not particularly impressed, but would try again.

It's good but high as giraffe pussy, a lunch, dessert, and root beer was $17 if I remember correctly.
