Don't care for him as an actor or a person. Good riddance.

I really dig Leo as an actor, but he seems kinda like a dick. The scene in Django where he's got the two guys fighting for his amusement, I really could see Leo just doing that on the weekends in a Vegas penthouse.

Try 6.

And I can easily see it draining to the point that it is an impairment to the quality of acting.

And I don't think he needs the quick check.

It's always fun to see and read people's responses to topics such as this when they have very little clue how much physical and mental preparation goes in to Stanislavsky method acting on one full length feature, much the less 6. Regardless of how much you do or don't get paid, it takes its toll.

Especially after the high profile case of Ledger.

quote:

"I sat around in a hotel room in London for about a month, locked myself away, formed a little diary and experimented with voices – it was important to try to find a somewhat iconic voice and laugh. I ended up landing more in the realm of a psychopath – someone with very little to no conscience towards his acts"; after reiterating his view of the character as "just an absolute sociopath, a cold-blooded, mass-murdering clown", he added that Nolan had given him "free rein" to create the role, which he found "fun, because there are no real boundaries to what the Joker would say or do. Nothing intimidates him, and everything is a big joke."

And even he attributed this role and the preceding one as the cause of his acute insomnia that led him to be perscribed the drugs that eventually killed him by overdosing trying to sleep.

But yeah, it's completely LAUGHABLE for an actor to feel like he needs a break.

I don't think anyone is saying he isn't living the life.

That is more of a rebuttal against those sneering that he is taking a break.

I guess this puts a hold up on the film adaptation of Devil in the White City and the movie he was going to be in about Kennedy's assassination.
