And they have Miami at 20-1, Michigan at 25-1?

Same odds as TCU, VaTech, and Wisconsin.

Never placed any bets, where could I go to put a bet down on this?

Like I wrote in that other thread about how Danny Sheridan had LSU at 10-to-1 ( LINK)...
All those people who were putting LSU's odds at better than 5% should be putting down some money imho.

Keep in mind the way these odds work. If you see odds that are too pessimistic, you can make money off the house. If you see odds that are too optimistic, then you can't really do anything about it.
Thus, generally speaking the house has an incentive to make overly optimistic odds. This is especially true early on when there is a lot of publicly available information out there that the oddsmaker hasn't had time to really process and "do his homework" on. Once all the preseason articles and depth charts and rankings come out, expect the odds to move in the direction of LSU having a slimmer shot at a 2013 BCS national title (which is not a 2014 title, by the way, even though the title game will be played in January 2014).

I don't think they will, but how much is a chance worth? I might have to drop $20-50. My wife wastes that much on her way home from work........

The freakin UCLA BRUINS have a 40/1 and we are 50/1

You would figure Oregon wouldn't be 8/1 now.

You have to get there to win it, schedules play a big part in these odds. Also its a thin line making bets with teams you are a fan of because you tend to make bets with your heart instead of your head.

I just had my brother throw down $20. No big deal.
Posted on 1/20/13 at 9:45 pm to jmarto1
Should've placed some limit bets on Bama @ 4/1 & TAM @ 10/1, then smaller flyers on Oregon 8/1, Fla 15/1, & UGA 20/1.

My question is:
"What do they know that we don't?"
And I'm with the previous poster... Alabama at 5-1 looks like good odds as well. Bet the SEC with Georgia, LSU, and Bama and still come out a winner!
