yeah, if the blocking OL and RB'S can do a better job than they did last year AND the wr's start out catching the balls they should

AND

If Mett learns feel the pressure and knows how to deal with it then absolutely.

All Mett needs is a little awareness and a pocket that isn't crushing him from all sides. The he will be fine.

Despite his overthrows last year he is one of the best long ball throwers I have ever seen... just not last year. Give him time to make a halfway settled long throw and he is money.

I don't think he will ever be able to throw the ball on the run though. Never figured I would be able to throw the ball on the run better than an LSU quarterback but from what he showed last year I think I can best him on that.

He made a few nice throws on The run last year.

Solid post, omega. You're right, Mett already arrived. It was all line problems the second half of the year.

Yep, the two things Mett is bad at is throwing on the run and quickness to move out of the pocket and gain yardage. A common misperception on this board is that Mett has poor pocket awareness. This is false. He already is showing a seasoned NFL QB's ability to use the pocket. The problem was that the pocket was caving in too fast. His arm is a treasure!
