Surprised no one has mentioned Randall Gay yet. (unless I missed it)

Non-starter/nickelback at LSU and went on to have a great career with Pats/Saints.

I was going to until I looked up that he started 20+ games over his last two seasons.

I posted the same thing a while back. I think our coaches have been dead on. Very few Terrell Davis' and Arian Foster types.

Kenny Wilkerson never played much at LSU and lasted several years with the Steelers (?) Edit: I don't remember his last name but it wasn't Wilkerson. He was from Bossier City.

Was it Kenny Davidson?

Tory james was a guy who started but seemed to underachieve at LSU. Never would have guessed he'd have a 10 year career.

There were a couple of tight ends that fit this description too. They may have been on the field a lot, but ended up with surprising NFL longevity. I'll try to think of their names and edit them in.

Kevin Mawae shocked me too. Might have had my head up my arse during that era, but I never thought he'd achieve the level of NFL succes he did. Another similar Center was Todd McClure

Ben Wilkerson was a Tiger. Was an All American center at LSU. Played for the Bengals then Atlanta. 3 or 4 career. Is new OL coach at Grambling.

Guess everyone's not as old as me ... I remember him being a dominant force alongside Bill Elko and Ramsay Dardar in '82.

Yes, i used to talk to him at a bank I worked a decade ago.
He played with the Steelers and wasn't a big name during his time at LSU.

That's a good one. Couldn't beat out Herb Tyler, but had a decent career as a back up NFL QB.

PLayed under Josh Booty not Tyler. Stayed in the NFL longer than Booty and Davey.
