Aline Street Beer Garden (near Touro)

Stopped into this place on Friday night...the owner said it had just opened the day before...
Best selection of German beers I know of in the city, saw stuff I hadn't seen since we went to Munich and Salzburg last June (Augustiner, Konig, etc)
On tap, they've got Aventinus wheat doppelbock, Paulaner Hefe, Warsteiner, and a couple more taps they were still working on.
Thing I liked the most is that they serve draft in both the half liter and the Ein Mass (liter)
Prices weren't too bad (Aventinus half liter draft is around $5, liters were $9 I think)
Worth a shot to try, especially with Soverign Pub and the Delachaise all in the same building...and not quite like being in the Viktualienmarkt or the Englischer Garden in Munich, but had a good time...

I walked by this place like a week ago. I don't think it was open but I wasn't excatly sure where the bar was just saw tables outside. Is the bar the old Hyde Park bar?

I saw a sign for that the other day. In the old Prytania Bar space right? Threw me off because I'm used to American-style beer gardens like in Queens and Brooklyn that include a large outdoor space and big community tables, which does this place even have either? Sounds like they have a decent beer selection though.

Yeah, used to be Hyde Park...
ETA: there are biergarten style tables set up outside and a couple inside, too...small bar setup...ambience lacking a bit inside, though they do play some oom-pah music...

I was getting irritated because I could not find a damn thing about this place on the internet. I then figured out it is not called Aline Street Beer Garden. It is called Sovereign Pub.
Looks like it is trying to Finn's a run with promoting soccer games.
Or is it something different?

Now I'm confused. What is the name of the place with the bright colored picnic table things on the side walk.

It's two separate bars....
The Beer Garden is the place on the corner with the light blue & white Bavarian flags...it has the orange picnic-style tables.
Soverign Pub is the English style place that's further down toward the Delachaise, I don't recall seeing tables outside of that...

So if I was to order a drink while sitting in these tables the bar would be in the old Hyde Park?
