Just to clear things up, LSU DID NOT lose the number #1 LA recruit

It's mind boggling people (not naming any names) would post inaccurate info because they don't know any better. Here's your number 1
And to make things a little more clear, Tim Williams is a damn fine football player. However, he never wanted to play at LSU. There was a little mutual interest but he wanted away. Good for him for not stringing anyone along. Best of luck to him.
NOW, would LSU have taken him? You're damn right they would. Did they see the writing on the wall? You're damn right they did. They parted ways. End of story.
Is he a top five player in LA? Probably. However, I actually think he would only play hit his ceiling in the proper system. He's a good kid and a great talent, but him and LSU never were going to happen.
Stop freaking out.

Stop. Rational thinking and common sense is not allowed on here! Always 100% meltdown mode!

You could have put this in the thread in which you were responding to instead of starting a new one.

How did he go from Glen Oaks to UHigh from his freshman to sophomore year?

No. I wanted my own thread. Don't tell me how to live my life.

You may be right, but we've heard the "he just wanted to get away" line about top state recruits before, such as McKnight, Collins, etc. Regardless, LSU rolls on.
Eta- meant for OP

But another thread says we did. This place is so confusing. We need a recruiting board.

At least read the linked report which stated he was the #1 recruit before you call somebody out! The link stands regardless what you may think.

Yea but someone said he was so it must be true

I did. It's ESPN recruiting. They have no clue about recruiting rankings.

Exactly. They will bash the staff and program because one of the top 10 players from Louisiana goes out of state, but won't give the staff credit when they sign 8 of the top 10 from LA.

The same way most kids transfer. Sit out a year (he did as a sophomore) and then play from there.

OP is technically correct but let's not downplay the fact that Nick is picking our pockets in our own backdoor.
IF CLM does not step up and beat bama this year we are going to see more drain from our own state.

Can we downplay the fact that the best player in Alabama is not going to Bama this year and has an outside shot of coming here?
Why, because he doesnt fit there as well as here or Ga, the same with Williams......Collins was a much much different story, the Williams signing is good for him and fine for us.
Freaking drama queens, I swear

picking our pockets........ Tim Williams isn't even as good as Robin Williams in that show with Goldie Hawn.

LSU is way passed needing every top player in the state to come to LSU and we have Les to thank for that. LSUs out of state recruiting is excellent and LSU will meet their needs with or without the "top player in the state"
