Honestly I like the Pinnacle Golds I'm a 10 handicap but have big problems with accuracy, I don't slice or pull these as much

I'm working on feel. So balls matter.

You and Beaver gettin' somethin' under the table from the tire guys?
I've been hitting Nike. I like them, but I'll try the Bridgestones. One day, when we emerge from the Arc.

Go to Dick's Sporting Goods or any place that you can be fitted for a ball. Spin rate, launch angle and distance mean just as much on the ball as it does on the driver.

Fitted for a ball???? Really? Care to elaborate how they do that? Just curious

Spin rate, launch angle and distance
Spin rate and distance vary very little amongst the type of balls you may use, in that among the higher spinning balls, there is little change between brand, and so on.
Launch angle is not determined by a particular type of ball, theoretically. Different aspects within the swing determine this. The type of core a ball has may aid one way or another, but if you're looking for higher or lower ball flight, changing your ball to a low compression core for a higher launch isn't gonna be what you're looking for. You change shafts or clubs to get a measurable change.
Getting fitted for a ball is a gimmick to make money. Anyone knowledgeable with retail could give you an estimate the same a machine "could".

The biggest difference to me is putting. My Mom bought me 6 dozen Gamers last year for practice. They are a fantastic ball from tee to green. I had to start using a Pro V1x to putt, ball I use in tournaments, because it was damn near impossible for m me to putt with the Gamer. It was very inconsistent off the face. Every other hole it would just explode off the face. If you're looking for a ball to play in practice rounds, the Slazenger Raw Feel is what I've been using this Winter with good results. Can't beat 48 for $30. They're long and straight and stop on the green.
