I haven't been able see his hook close up. Does he put a good amount of spin on it? A good amount of Spin is the key to the jump hook and sweeping hook. Because in order to spin it ,the arm automatically is made to be straight up. Spinning dictates straightning of the arm (elbow under the ball). If he learns to take one bounce and two steps across the lane and SPIN. it up, he would be dangerous.
And the time he got his shot blocked a few games ago- he just needs to realize when you turn (at a stand still)with the shooting arm-turning in first . You're not able to stun or knock back(got to feel defender initially) the defender-like you can do,when you turn/lead with the arm that you're not shooting with. The reason it was blocked the defender had space to see what AD was about to do and he had time to jump and put a hand in balls path.
When turning with shooting arm in first situation, the pump FAKE is the thing to do.
There's another way to hand that if your got Shaq type lowered
shoulder and hands.
