I want to talk about Sheperd and the possibility of him being a cancer

IF this did in fact play a role in some of these juniors leaving, then good. Keep in mind I used the word "if". We now have ourselves a fresh crop of 3 to 5 star athletes who don't have some fricking stigma about the team/coach.
Sure, the offense was horrendous. Sure we need Miles out of the offense. Hell, we could use a big time OC hire.
But for frick's sake, none of that is fixable if you have guys playing that don't want to be there. You don't have to be a D1 player to realize that this game takes heart and passion not only for the game, but also for the name on the jersey.
Let me be clear. I'm not saying that guys were jumping ship. But what I think could have happened is that we had a couple guys who maybe brought some other guys down. I don't know this at all what-so-ever to be true. But one can only assume when you have current players tweeting about writing fricking books called "The Truth".
tl;dr

maybe instead of writing books he can read a book or two about properly catching a football

Ooooor we just had a lot of awesome talent in the junior class that has the chance of making millions of dollars when they have never even seen that kind of money..

We had alot of guys check out after the bama loss. Dunno about RS. He barely played anyway, but I dont really see him as a cancer type guy. Always seemed like more of an upbeat guy.

He posted on Twitter that he was going to write a book about his LSU experience called "The Truth."
We had to expect a lot of the players to leave.
Mingo and Montgomery were both 1st rounders.
Minter and Reid both were graduated and high round choices.
Now a lot of the other guys were surprises. But then again they may have their reasons.
One of the big things I noticed at the Arkansas game. He played on kick off. A guy that on offense is going to go in and contribute will be around the offensive coaches. Shep was by himself. Not by the coaches, or around any team member. Don't know if he had a chip on his shoulder and it was possible that some attitude was holding him out. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors.

I read this as "I want to talk about Sheperd and the possibility of him dying of cancer."
Man, it would've been a new low for the Rant.

If we had guys that didn't want to be here, there is no way in hell this coaching staff would be putting together a top 5 recruiting class.
If what you suggest is true, it would have leaked out from the disgruntled players to the new recruits.

Shep has finished his career at LSU. How can he be a cancer when he isn't on the team? While he was on team he wasn't a cancer.
