My opinion on kids with LSU offers who leave the state

Sure, if we want them, then it would have been great to see them in p & g. I still wish them the best of luck. I hope they are superstars on great teams that only lose to LSU.
I enjoy watching the success Devall is having. I was proud to see a Louisiana guy, Collins, beast on st last night.
I don't really like the way some handle the recruitment, and it gives me even more respect for a guy like Tim Williams who is straight forward.
Some kids, many kids here grow up dreaming of playing at LSU. A few have enough talent to earn a scholarship somewhere. Even fewer are chosen by LSU to be offered. For every kid that chooses someone over LSU, there are dozens dreaming of that offer who never get it and have to sign elsewhere.
Let's support our own guys. That's what we do in Louisiana, right?
Now that Toshiro Davis, Jansen Jackson crap? Misleading, lying, attempting to hurt our efforts more than not choosing us? Not cool. But there are guys like Adam Taylor out there too, who may feel the same way.

what brought this up?
We have plenty of great talent that spurn their home state school also. Just how it works.
Not everyone likes louisiana and even more seem to hate br.
Im not a fool and also know other programs offer a great opportunity for a student athlete just like LSU. And prob can even offer more in location and academics.

Prob not malicious, and in janzens case could have also been his father that changed his mind.

Of course they could change their mind. I don't think that was the case with those two though.
And to the poster below you, what brought this on? The solid play from two freshmen on bamas team last night. The expected departure of Williams.

I think telling the coaching staff the night before NSD that your committment is solid and having your mother say it as well and then to sign with another school is cowardly, tbh. I am ok with kids changing their mind at the last minute, but if you are unsure don't commit and certainly don't lie about it. Just man up and say it. I have alot of respect for Williams doing what he is doing. He has been honest about what he wants from the start.

i didnt watch the game so i cant comment further, i just didnt notice those guys laying much during the season. I do know bell was doing great but has had injury problems as of late.
Also dont think too many will be upset about williams. Since it seems like hes been strait foward and our coaches arent saying we think he will sign with us like they thought with other players.

Devall gets random series and disrupts like crazy from the jack.
Collins finally made some spectacular plays. Particularly on an open field, for a loss tackle on punt coverage at the two.
Devall is in the right system though, he's a 3-4 stud all day, would be more out of place in our 4-3.
Collins may start next year depending on Lester.

No. Anyone who plays for anyone else can frick off (in terms of athletics) as far as I'm concerned no matter if they are from my state, my town, or my family.

Taylor is from Texas...what does he have to do with this?

Depends more on beating out Sunseri or Clinton-Dix... Lester is a senior.

You probably like the Mannings too.

Not in particular.
I don't like losing anyone we want. Taylor is relevant because of the way his recruitment has unfolded.

Hating on a Louisiana kid who goes out of state to play college football is retarded.
Rooting for a kid who goes out of state to play college football is retarded.
No reason to support or get pissed about their decision. It's their decision and their right to decide where to play the next three to five years.
They have no obligation to attend LSU.
