I haven't been this intrigued by an LSU football team in a while

My anticipation for the season is always incredibly high, but with us playing so many new talents next year, it is very intriguing.
I can't wait to see all this young talent get their chance in the sun. Remember in 2011 we had some sophomores that lead our defense, maybe the same can happen next year.
It will feel like a brand new team on defense with all the new personnel that will be out there.

LSU will probably frick up a few games in an intriguing manner, too.

Especially with this new class lsu is bringing in this year. There will be a lot of guys getting early PT. The future is bright. Can't let these people that hate the program get you down about it.

The upside to so many players leaving early for the NFL is how strong we will now finish with our already strong recruiting class. New recruits will have a great opportunity to play early in the best college game day atmosphere in all of college football. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

I am intrigued by our offense's ineptness over the last several years. . .despite being among the most talented in all of FBS.

The entire SEC is intriguing really.
LSU, Georgia, and Florida have already lost quite a bit from last year. Texas A&M is going to as well.
Will have to see who from Alabama declares.
But the entire SEC will be different next year.. If Alabama wins it tonight. Next year may be the year the SEC doesn't win a title.

It's always interesting to see newbies, but I don't think there is any comparison in 2012 to what happened in 2010 in terms of playing freshmen and sophomores on defense, and being so dependent upon youth.
Remember that 15 freshmen and 12 sophomores saw playing time against UNC in the 2010 opener ( LINK), while Jr./Sr. leadership for the season was mostly limited to PP (Jr.), B. Taylor (Jr.), K. Sheppard (Sr.), & Drake Nevis (Sr.) ... with a little bit of Pep Livingston, Jai Eugene, or Ron Brooks thrown in from time to time for good measure.

I feel the same but first we need to get through NSD and see what we have coming in. I remember when PP7 left I thought who in the hell is going to replace him. Two players stepped up and filled the gaps and brought home national awards...

Our defense is being gutted by the draft. If we limp into next year with the same offensive philosophy I predict a mediocre year.

i went from expecting a national title run as always for next year to for the first time expecting the worst.. altho i am with you.. it will be interesting to see the young guys come together.

I believe it will be a very fun team to watch especially compared to 2012. Finally we will be underdogs without all the pressure. We have a lot of talent and hopefully a new attitude in 2013.

The recruites look great but what about a new Ofencive coordinator, Anyone with a right mind would say they need one?

I'm with you... Always look forward to the new players playing... And next year we will have plenty!
