Big Mikes at coroner of Prospect and Hwy 24
This location is closed.
Hebert's Its on 311 right near the intersection of Barrow
1921, also on Barrow, mostly boiled seafood but they do have great gumbo and good fried stuff along with an oyster bar.
Griffins as mentioned earlier is pretty decent, po boys, salads wraps.
French Loaf has the best po boys on the west side, pretty much in the parking lot of K Mart
Mr PoBoy has the best Po Boys on the East side almost across from the Grand Caillou Rd Wal-Mart
In the Save-A-Lot parking lot on GC RD there is Siam House, very good Tai food
There is a Taco stand scross the street from the Librabry on GC RD, get 3 Lingua Tacos ($5), i love them things
TARC restaurant and country store also has great lunches and good prices. They alse sell thier own home made Salsa from vegetables grown on site, I like it.
As mentioned you can't beat Christianos, the have lots of students from Nicholls Culinary program working there.

Big Mike's on Barrow and French Loaf are my two favorite spots. There's also a Thai place that was actually decent. Don't recall the name though. Back behind some car dealerships.

LaCasa is decent.

I hear West Main is better than Pepper's
Tis true.
But I happen to like thin crispy crust, minimal sauce, and lots of cheese and toppings.
FWIW, Nancy's on the East Side should be almost exactly like Big Al's. Owner's of Nancy's were once part owner's of Big Al's. 1921 is my go to for sea-food, a bit pricey...but it's good.
Cristiano's is hands down the best food in Houma. I've heard Big Mike's is good, but have yet to go. Zen and Ichiban are my go to sushi joints. Mexican food is pretty slim pickings for something good.
ETA: Rohan, the Thai place is Song Phi Nong and it is definitely worth checking out. It's at the corner of Enterprise and MLK behind Barker Honda.
