Finally, I'm always amused at the criticism of The Hurt Locker as not being completely realistic from a technical point of view. After all, it is a movie made for entertainment and not a documentary. There is no way, for example, that a movie audience would watch two hours of guys working on a single bomb. As long as the essence of the story and experience is conveyed, it serves its purpose.


Agree with everything that was said here. People need to lighten up and understand that these are movies, not intended to be exact replications of what happened. Some artistic license is necessary or no one would go see them. Actual life/events can actually be very boring and uneventful between the "good" parts.
