He would be a 4th stringer regardless of his position.

He'd be the white version of Russell Shepard. A big play here and there. Promises of more playing time and get zero touches in his final game.

Less with more = Les Miles

He would be a wasted talent at LSU...........FACT. For as much SO-CALLED talent Les brings in, He does shite with it.I feel for the future of LSU football.

No. As stellar as this LSU program's recruiting is, they can't recruit, handle or mold quarterbacks to save their lives (and that's being generous, as they are quite terrible at it).

If by some off chance Miles and company managed to get him to LSU, they would have put him at some other position he was less suited for.

For anyone that says yes, keep in mind that all RG3 wanted was a guarantee that he'd get a CHANCE to play QB and he would've come to LSU, but the staff would not even give him that.

This is not an indictment one way or the other on the staff's recruiting and evaluation, but rather a statement on how they have traditionally treated that type of athlete at the quarterback position.

Not a chance. His hands are too small to grip the ball.

With 5 years of predominantly mediocre play from the QB position, I question this staff's ability to judge talent for the QB position. Lee was decent for the first half of last season and Mett was terrific against Alabama this year, but on the whole the QB play has been sub-par.

We've won in spite of our QB play which says more about the rest of the team, but as we saw in the NCG against 'Bama, you won't win a championship without decent play from the QB position.

That's not taking a cheap shot, that is a statement of fact. I think 5 years of mediocre QB play gives people the right to question this staff's talent evaluation for the QB position and the staff's philosophy on offense.

5 years...and counting

JFF, my 3rd cousin, his Grandfather told me at Christmas, that JFF sent LSU film, and they rejected him. I remember a few years ago, LSU was in on him, but cooled, while Oregon and ATM were hot on his trail.

RG3 grew up a bit of an LSU fan, JFF grew up a LSU and Texas fan, Teddy Bridgewater was probably a Cane fan?

Since he was arrested prior to the season, LSU fans wouldn't even want him to have a shot as starting QB so what are you talking about?

Oh, wait....he's white. NVM.

Want to ask this question of every other D1 FBS school as well?

Who knows.

We all know Saban wanted to make Pat White a DB and did.

I never saw threads bashing Saban for that after WVU was so close to winning a NC.
