I was in Little Rock last week and had the conversation with several die hard Arky fans about Horton. To a man, they all agreed he would be a huge loss. He is very highly respected across the state by everyone that knows anything about football.

Of course, now that he pops up on the radar for Auburn the jilted lovers on here say he sucks.

No, even while he was on staff people were complaining about the fumbling and missed recruiting targets

No, he is a great individual, you will not have to worry about how he represents your university.

He isn't a Troopah.

However as a coach, well, we have seen an increase in fumbles and a decrease in production from our backs since DMAC left outside of Knile's year in 2010.

He stuck around all this time hoping he would be retained, he interviewed for the App state head coaching job and was passed over, interviewed for the Auburn job and waited until our staff had filled before accepting with Gus.

This isn't a jilted lover he turned us down situation, wish Tim all the best, there was not room for him on this staff and he didn't want to take a non coaching staff role that was offered too him like Allen took, he wants to continue coaching and his best opportunity was at Auburn, wish him all the best.

Look at what Cheshire said

No sour grapes here, wish Horton nothing but the best. Forgive arky fans for telling you how it is. If you want to ignore it, no fricks to give. Hortons a nice guy, but average at best at coaching and recruiting. Again congrats on picking up our left overs

Horton is a great guy and a class act. I hope you guys pay and treat him well. I'm not sad about this at all though, we weren't going to retain him unless we couldn't get someone bigger. If horton left that means that we got a higher tier coach. I say this because you're fricking crazy if you think horton wouldn't have stayed at arkansas if he was offered any on the field coaching position.
