Looking for suggestions in timber management

I have a small piece of land northwest of Baton Rouge (60 acres) on which I have a good growth of pine. I'm interested in finding a company to help me manage the timber. Anybody here got any good experiences or recommendations?

Call Peters Forest Resources. Located in Baton Rouge. Good people.

I know it's a small piece, but the timber has covered its costs of ownership and then some in the distant past. That's my goal. I could use some help with controlled burns if needed and the bidding process when the time comes.

Clear cut and then replant. How old are you? By replanting, 20 years you can cut again. Money in the bank.
Myself, I get my place select cut every 20 years, but I have hardwood trees.

About how much per acre does it cost to plant?

My father used to thin it about every seven years or so and we'd plant immediately after. Seemed to work well.

I think replanting has been running around $225 per acre. But that is hardwoods, pine might be a little cheaper.
Call the Peters office at 225-751-3553 and ask for Dwayne.
Worked on them on some reforestation projects.
