Even if I didn't know anything about coaching or football I would know he is a great coach. Know why? Because he has a GREAT RECORD! That is all that matters because WINNING GAMES is hard to do. If you are good at winning, if you win at a HIGH level, then you are a HIGH LEVEL coach!

You are one who is very satisfied with 9-10 wins. That's fine. You have to realize others have higher expectations.

Well, were we not ahead with 2 minutes to play and "our top 10 defense" on the field against both teams? Derp is derp. And the derpa derp. Derpity derp derp.

No chance our defense got tired of being on the field for 99 plays busting their arse and not getting any rest because the offense could barely even stay on the field for more than 4 plays?

Do you also think this was the issue January of last year? And every season before that? Sounds like another excuse for a shitty offense.

Well, it's a different world today. The administration doesn't put up with much anymore.

That's because the administration then were people who fought in WWII when they were 18 year olds. They viewed us as adults and allowed us to be adults. Now we have college children.

Hell, I wasn't near as creative with vulgarities then as I am today. I love a double entendre and have even attempted the dangerous triple entendre on a few occasions. That is something only a professional should attempt.

Yep. My biggest problem with "Suck that tiger dick" is that it's so frickin lame. Change it up a bit, keep the administration guessing.

Don't be one of "those" guys man. I want to win em all every damn year and I've thrown every ball cap I own at a TV at least once during an LSU game.

But one thing I can do, is have enough perspective to realize how our accomplishments stack up against the other teams in the country, (not just Alabama which is most peoples problem on here)and against what your expectations SHOULD be.

I don't think it is our results that are the problem, its you having expectations that as of right now, are only being met by one team in the country. Nobody can be them right now, but I think we are the next best thing....and gaining!

Are you a football coach? From reading your posts it sounds like you've coached on some level before.

Clemson sustained drives to earn more plays. That part of the equation falls on the defense.

It's amusing to see guys pissing all over a O for not controlling the ball more and then turn around and give a D that allows Clemson to run up and down the field at will in the 4th quarter a total pass after that O had controlled the ball 9 mins in the 3rd and scored 10 pts to take an 11 pt lead.

It's a team game and both the O and the D failed to make a play when needed.

You really have no grasp on the situation at all.

Last year we were. I think we are quite a distance behind them right now. But my expectations have been lowered and winning a bowl game, any game..looks good again.

Exactly. Why not celebrate our French heritage and give us a French version. The night Tiger Band does their "We salute our neighbors south of the border" in which they open with Malaguena, yell a similar version in Spanish. Such highlights the diversity of the student body.

The offense didn't control the ball at all in the 3rd. They scored on the first play from scrimmage and then went 6 plays and a punt, 3 plays and a punt, field goal (given to them inside the 30 by the defense), and 3 plays in a punt. They differential in TOP for that quarter was because the defense caused 2 3&outs, a fumble on the first play of the 3rd drive, and then a 7 play drive followed by a punt.

The DEFENSE controlled the 4th quarter. Absolutely owned it. Allowed 18 net yards. The offense did squat except break off one big run and kick a field goal that was handed to them by the defense. And by the end of the 3rd quarter the defense had played 77 snaps. That's a lot. Too many.

The defense held Clemson to 17 yards in the third. LSU offense gained 1 yard, yes...1 yard...in the 4th.

LSU was totally dominated in the game. When you gain 200 yards of offense, you lose. The offense is broke, and needs to be fixed no matter whether you believe it or not.

The LSU TOP in the 3rd was 9 mins.

That's because defense gave them 5 drives in the 3rd quarter. They used up 2 minutes a drive without really moving the ball at all, the defense just gave them a ton of drives.

And I meant the 3rd quarter. Not drinking, sadly.

Did I say anything bout the O other than it had the ball 9 mins in the 3rd?

And whether you believe it or not, both the O and D failed LSU in the 4th quarter.

No one is saying the O didn't struggle and hasn't struggled.

The defense has carries this team for years. It's constantly ranked in the top third nationally, unlike the offense which is in the bottom third.

It's tough for a defense to play at peak level when your offense can't move the chains. It's understandable to think there would be breakdowns near the end of the 4th quarter.

CLemson has a dynamic offense and a very weak defense. FSU put up over 600 yds on them. Still hard to believe LSu barely could muster 200 and a quarter came on one run.

This discussion needs to continue in order to put pressure on our coach for life to hand the offense over to a competent OC.
