The type of team that gives the TCU defense trouble are teams with a pocket passing QB who can pick apart the defense if TCU can not generate a pass rush. TCU's defense focuses on stopping the run and short pass, and forces you to beat them with the long ball and big play.

Not sure if Mettenberger or the LSU offense fits that mold. Pro style pound the ball between the tackles offenses have never had much success against the TCU defense. Whether it be Oklahoma and Adrian Peterson or DeMarco Murray, Clemson and CJ Spiller, Wisconsin and Montee Ball, or Texas this year, they fail to have good games.

If you look at the teams that have had success against the TCU defense, its always a team with a pocket passer, stong receivers and a solid offensive line. Sam Bradford/Oklahoma in 2008 was able to do it. Ryan Lindley and San Diego State in 2010 had some success. RGIII and Baylor last year had success.
