He leads all NFL quarterback in completions of 31+ yards this season with 14. Baltimore's Joe Flacco is second with 10.

that's all. I think his athleticism is underrated but his stature and arm have never been his strength. Just love him as the ultimate gamer. Yeah, he has thrown the picks this year. (Curious how many were off of passes that shoulda been caught). He presses most often though when the game requires pressing. He has a gunslinger/competitive streak that really reminds me of Favre. He may go down but he'll always go down swinging.
Out of those 14 long balls Joe Morgan has been the recipient 7 times. Kudos front office for bringing another player outta nowhere.

I look at this season as Drew trying too hard to do too much. Still a solid season from a great Saint.

When you are down alot, you throw downfield alot
It still is remarkable that he did it with a weak arm(compared to most qb's today). Drew's strength truly is that "something special".

We are obviously paying him too much to throw the ball and have receivers drop them. He's obviously holding this team back.

Well this isn't a new thing for him so that theory goes out the window

This isn't necessarily the case with the Saints. We throw deep on 3rd and short more than any other team.
