Comparing schedules

The lower half of the SEC is a very weak group of teams so playing in a conference--even the mighty SEC has its drawbacks when you can beat any of these teams and use your 2nd and 3rd string after half time.
Mix in some cupcake directionals like W. KY, Florida Atlantic and W. Carolina (where did you find them?) or Towson and LA Lafayette etc. and you have all of the makings of "scheduling for a BCS birth" type recipe for a high ranking in the polls.
Tide only played three tough teams--TAMU, LSU, Georgia--and we know they lost to one and had to come from behind to win the other two.
ND schedule starting out this season featured several teams that had double digit wins the previous year (Stanford-USC-Michigan-MSU etc) and had 9-10 previous season bowl teams on it
That was a whole lot tougher slate than what 'Bama had lined up with one FCS and three directionals that had no chance against the Tide.

The top 6 in the SEC, probably even Ole Miss and Vanny, would destroy Notre Dame.

I'm not sure how you mistook this forum for the NAMBLA forum, but you and your child-fricking brethren are not welcome here.

The lower half of the SEC might be weak, but there is a reason for that. They had to play Bama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, A+M, and South Carolina.
Auburn, Miss St., Ole Miss, Vandy, Tennessee would all beat Navy, Purdue, BYU, Pitt, Michigan St., Boston College, and Wake Forest. Most would beat Miami and Michigan.

Don't lump in the entire bottom 8 together. Miss State, Ole Miss, and Vandy are all good teams. Tennessee was dangerous when they had their minds in the game. They all just happened to play 3-4 top 15 teams in an 8 team SEC schedule. That'll hurt a lot of teams. The top-heavy comments are stupid. Usually top-heavy doesn't apply when top is considered HALF of the conference.

Exactly- they are 2 for 3 against top ten teams.
What is ND's record against top ten teams this season? You had two overtime wins you squeaked by, where are those teams ranked right now?

Michigan you say? The team the starters didn't play the second half against. Lower tier SEC is how you described that team. Okay.
Pitt, just Pitt, enough said.

USC = garbage. Who cares what they did last year?
Michigan got buttraped on national TV by Bama. Our 2nd and 3rd team was going off on them. How'd you guys do?
MSU? Really?
As a previous poster already said... Pitt. Just... PITT.
PITT.

Chad Chad Chad....I am going to assume you were either dropped as a baby or a well meaning person of lower intelligence.
Neuter Dame had to go to OT to beat Pitt...that bastion of college football prowness that lost to Youngstown State for Gods sake. Pitt had your sorry azz beat if its FG kicker could have kicked a 34 yd chipshot.
ND is going to be ganged rape on national tv and Kelley will implode with his fat Boston Irish face becoming a horror movie. Enjoy.

So now I see Chud's gone from trolling Bama to trolling the entire conference.
Tell you what chud. We all know what the SEC's done in the BCS title game. Why don't you go out and see how they've done in all the BCS bowls and report back.
I tell you what. I strongly suspect math is hard for you so I'll help you out. Since the inception of the BCS, the SEC is 15-6 in games played against non-SEC opponents (so last year's title game is excluded).
They win the games at a 71% clip. See if you can find another major conference with anything close.
You don't have to try hard. ESPN's done the work for you. They say The win total actually equals the combined total of wins by the next two highest conferences.
You've really got to troll harder. You're embarrassing yourself.

Not listed as a tough game for Bama, but you did for ND.

Michigan is a directional now???
Anyway, I think you need to re-think the bottom of the SEC. Look at Auburn, they have more talent then ND, but had bad coaching. Even with really good coaching they lose like 3 games in the SEC this year.
