IMO jps 21 is not worth the price tag of 130. It's not stitzel weller juice it's their own. I would rather saver up $20 more and buy a secondary market jps 18. I did not make it to Churchills this weekend to buy that handy. The craps table waxed me.

Doc - you need to tell me what that George dickle barrel select is like. I have seen a few around town. Also going to keep my eyes open for ecbp second release and stagg jr.

Will do. Jason on Sour Mash Manifesto gave it a 9/10 and gave it rave reviews compared to Jack Daniels Single Barrel. Figured it was worth a shot at $30.

That's good to know hadn't looked into the 21. So you are saying I shouldn't crack my 18 bottle just yet then.

If you have a backup bottle drink up. Just landed my 2nd and 3rd bottle. You are not going to see another jps 17 or 18. This year they are releasing another 21 yr juice

Since you didnt, I just did;). That being said, the girl that's always behind the counter hinted that they had another stash in the back. Best price on T.H. Handy in town. They are selling it for $65 while the few other places I've seen it all want $90.

Passed by Dorignac's today...picked up a couple Weller 12's to hoard long-term (no surprise--no Elmer T Lee)
Also grabbed a Bulleit, couldn't pass it up on sale for $19.99

They were out over the weekend. Was the Basil Hayden not still on sale for $29.99?

It was IIRC...I heart Martin's Wine Cellar on Magazine has Basil for $28

Another question.
The Elmer T Lee seems to be well stocked in the Kansas City area. Since it is among my early faves, is this a bottle I should stock up on?
Today grabbed Four Roses SB. Very good. And Jefferson's Reserve small batch. Seems I am stockpiling faster than I can sample. Still battin a thousand thanks to this thread.

I'd get 2 or 3 bottles just to hang onto...even if your local supply is good right now, eventually it'll be hard to find

BH for 28 is a great buy. The entire Jim beam small batch collection is good but I believe 10-15 bucks over priced.

Basil and knob creek single barrel are the only ones i ever buy

Anyone who likes Basil Hayden should give Old Grand Dad 114 a shot. Both made by beam and both have the same mashbill. The only difference in these whiskeys would be age (i think they are both NAS), warehouse location, and proof (which the 114 clearly wins).

Received this yesterday. I'm expecting 3 bottles of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof today.

You're gonna love the Four Roses... I'll be hunting for the small batch '13 LE soon. What did it set you back?
