Another way to look at this is LSU athletic department was going to give 7.2 million to the University regardless for anything under 3 million in profit. The 7.2 million is considered an expense to the Athletic Department. So that means LSU athletic department had a surplus of 19.3 million and they chose to give 1 million of that surplus back to the University. So that equates to 5%.
