Ok, let me choose a more "stable condition" that I hate and am no longer going on and on vocalizing my hate for it because it's over with.
I hate that Obama got elected, bitched and moaned about uninformed voters for a week after the election, since I've stopped doing this does it mean I'm now OK with it?
no.

you put forth utterly ridiculous statements attempting to get a rise out of the other side, like always.

Your whole game plan in rebranding huh?

I've conquered rational thought, i'm just refusing to share it this time around. And its driving you ape shite (no pun intended) in trying to figure it out.

All these years later and people still say "The Lakers" is a terrible name. It doesn't suddenly make the name good. It just makes people care less that it sucks.
Sorry to butt in on y'all's discussion, but the Laker's have 16 championships. We'll be lucky to win 16 games with the talent we have.
We start winning championships, call us what the f*ck you want!

Actually, both. Not everyone accepts it. Some love it.

Yes, Chad. Here is something that will blow your mind. When trying to market a product:
cool > lame

Caught. I hang my head in shame.

If only winning championships was simple.

I pre-agreed with that statement. Lack of `attention' (a word you introduced into the discussion) does not equate to lack of a reaction.
I'm glad we see eye to eye here even if you didn't notice that.

But what i've come to recognize is the coolness of the pelican is that it isn't trying to be cool. Its just that cool. The Brass is no more cooler than a Pelican. And Krewe is for deers and steers.

Again the reason we can't use the BRASS was explained.
When NOLA got a turnover...the announcer would say "BRASS BALL" sounds too close to "Brass Balls" So that killed it.
I don't mind Pelican. I kinda liked "Steamboats" and could have a steamboat horn during the game.
Plus Pelican is wayyyy better than a Nugget. Who the hell wants to be a Nugget??

Ultimately I think the team will be called the New Orleans Brass. I think all this was a test balloon floated up there to gauge the response. It is obvious that it didn't go well and not just nationally, locally too. While it fits the area, I think NOLA natives realize that if the nation thinks it is stupid then we can probably pick a better name.

Whether or not Stern approves. I'll give that 50-50. Otherwise seems to be a done deal.

Truth is the people that don't like it are going to be more vocal and stand out more. Anyone that thinks the name is okay or genuinely likes it won't be going on Facebook and Twitter coming up with a dozen ways to say how much the name is awesome.

The people who do not like the name Pelican tend not to know its history with the state of Louisiana, the state bird on our state flag, and the city of New Orleans, once our baseball team.
Yes, Pelicans doesn't sound as intimidating as Voodoo...however, it represents New Orleans and Louisiana in a true and best way.
Not to mention the Pelicans connections with Catholicism (which also goes well with New Orleans and the Saints).

No, you don't think yourself superior. I fart in your general direction.
