I can't think of a single time myself.

For the 2009 season, UT paid $3,325,000 to all assistant football coaches, the highest combined salary among public schools. Add to Kiffin's ~$2m, it's what Nick Saban just got extended for.
And also, non-sports specific: Community leaders Jim and Natalie Haslam and the Haslam Family Foundation have given the University of Tennessee $32.5 million, the largest gift ever to the university from individuals.

Meh, guess I shoulda said for a head coach. 2 million is lol in this day and time. And that's what Kiffin and Dooley was paid per year.

Well we just offered $4M for Strong.

2 million won't cut if for what Dave Hart wants, agreed. But it's not bad for someone coming from a lesser situation, even if it's a roughly a lateral move pay-wise.

Is that confirmed or a rumor.
