Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

2 million won't cut if for what Dave Hart wants, agreed. But it's not bad for someone coming from a lesser situation, even if it's a roughly a lateral move pay-wise.

For the 2009 season, UT paid $3,325,000 to all assistant football coaches, the highest combined salary among public schools. Add to Kiffin's ~$2m, it's what Nick Saban just got extended for.
And also, non-sports specific: Community leaders Jim and Natalie Haslam and the Haslam Family Foundation have given the University of Tennessee $32.5 million, the largest gift ever to the university from individuals.

re: FIU set their program back 10 years firing Cristobal

Agree, it is not a good fire at all, and at a really weird time. Listen, I realize they went 3-9 this year, but they were DECIMATED with injuries. Cristobal is a good coach, and was getting a look just last year at some major programs. Maybe, moving conferences they figured they needed to make a big splash.
However, if they don't get Butch Davis (which, on his end makes no sense unless he just REALLY misses Miami) it's not going to be a good time for the Panthers any time soon.

Shoop if they can give Brent Pry a job (maybe D-Line since Stoops pulled him to UK).
Possibly Manny Diaz returns there.
